Hotel Accommodations near Carlsbad Caverns

Surprisingly, the closest hotels to Carlsbad Caverns are not in the city of Carlsbad. Visitors to this national park have ample flexibility where accommodations are concerned. From sleeping in the national park itself to sleeping in luxurious accommodations, there are plenty of places to stay. Nearby the park, there are some very close hotels that cater to visitors of the monument. In Carlsbad, visitors will find the nearest city with restaurants, parks and other diversions to explore. Whites City, named for the famous explorer of the caves, is the nearest spot where guests will find hotel accommodations available.
The Best Western in Whites City is among the closest hotels to the park. In fact, it is situated on the eastern extreme of the park, making it a convenient spot for those who want to spend the most possible time in the caverns. Other resorts and hotels located in Whites City include the White’s City Resort and the Best Western Guadalupe Inn. In nearby Carlsbad, visitors will find a larger city with more amenities. There are more hotels to be found in Carlsbad than in Whites City, as well.
By following Highway 62/180 northeast from the national park, guests will be delivered to Carlsbad. There are numerous hotels located along the highway once one gets into town. Farther in the city, there are also numerous establishments located on North Canal Street, near the main part of the city. The drive to the park takes about 15 minutes in total from the city. Those guests who come in RVs will also find ample accommodations for their vehicles in both Carlsbad and Whites City.
For those who want to stay in the park itself, there is the Day’s Inn. Though it is officially located in Carlsbad, it is located much closer to Whites City and within the park itself. This is a favorite of those who are visiting the monument. Those guests who wish to tent or stay in an RV can choose from numerous providers in the region. Backcountry camping is free in the park, upon arrangement, and offers an alternative to those who don’t want to stay in a hotel the entire time. There are plenty of places to eat located in Carlsbad and all the necessities that one may need during the course of their trip to the caverns are easy to find.
